Smart Hearing Aids

NEW SMART HEARING AIDS USE TECHNOLOGY TO ENHANCE YOUR LISTENING

At the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, a major hearing aid manufacturer introduced the world to the newest smart hearing aids. These devices connect to your smartphone, and have features that intuitively allow them to self-adjust, giving you the best hearing experience no matter where you are.

CONNECT TO YOUR SMARTPHONE

Using either your iPhone or Android device, you can now discreetly manage the features on your hearing aids directly from your phone. New smartphone applications work seamlessly with these hearing aids, allowing the user to control things like the direction of the microphone on his hearing aids – front, back, left or right – to enhance speech and diminish background noise, and volume, which can be changed with a simple finger swipe on the screen. The applications even allow the user focus the span of the microphone – to hear a wide range of focus or a narrow beam.

BETTER-THAN-NORMAL HEARING

Two-way wireless communication technology helps your hearing aids accurately focus in on the conversation you want to listen to, while diminishing background noise. This results in better-than-normal hearing in places like noisy restaurants or crowded parties - places that, because of all their background noise, have long been a source of frustration with people who have a hearing impairment.

SMARTPHONES NOT REQUIRED

And what makes these hearing aids especially smart is that a smartphone is not required to take advantage of the new technology. While the smartphone application allows for increased levels of customized hearing, the hearing aids have their own technology that makes them unique.

The devices are always scanning the sounds in the environment, and automatically adjusting themselves to suit the listener. So if you are at a noisy cocktail party, the hearing aids automatically heighten speech from in front of you while diminishing the sounds to your sides and behind you. If you’re out for a walk in the woods, the hearing aids automatically adjust so you can enjoy the sounds of nature all around you.

SAVVY HEARING AIDS FOR THE SAVVY USER

Your two hearing aids will communicate with each other to ensure that you get the best possible sound, and they provide sound to you in high-definition. No manual adjustments are required with these devices, making them the smartest, most technologically savvy hearing aids on the market.
